Hi folks,
Since launching Echo of Hope, we’ve been contacted by people from all over the world asking us about Ari and our journey, and letting us know what’s going on with them. Sometimes people reach out when they receive a diagnosis, want to learn more about fetal intervention, or are facing a medical journey of their own. We don’t have all the answers, but we certainly welcome the questions.
If you want to get in touch with us, here are a few ways:
– Write to me (Mike) through my RAIN Group Sales Training email address – mschultz at RAINGroup.com
– Message me through Ari’s Facebook fan page
If time is of the essence, don’t hesitate to call the cardiology division at Boston Children’s Hospital. We can’t say enough positive things about our experience with them.
Best to you all,
Mike, Erica, Ari, Lexi, Eli, and Melody

I stumbled across a video of your little boy on Instagram and having just lost my son to a rare heart condition I was very invested and had to see what condition your boy had. I searched through hundreds of comments and searched up ari and it led me to this. I scrolled all the way down to your first posts and it’s safe to say I haven’t cried this much since we lost our little boy.
Our boy Jax at our 20 week scan had something show up so after weeks of waiting to see a specialist we finally got in at 22 weeks….we were told our baby had the exact same condition as your sweet boy. Critical aortic stenosis. In Australia they don’t do the amazing work doctors do in America such as fetal intervention so unfortunately for us we didn’t have many options. We had so many tests to see how our boy was doing and all came back fine. Cardioligist told us he is doing fine and at 38 weeks I would be induced and our little boy would fly interstate for heart surgery… Unfortunately at 25 weeks they detected heart failure and said our boy had 24-48 hrs to live. Our boy managed to push himself through so much it honestly blew us away. From defying all the odds they gave us to meeting us and being with us for a short time. The told us 48 hrs and he pushed on for 4 more weeks, we felt him kick and move around when they said he wouldn’t grow. I became extremely big because of how sick he had gotten and at 29 weeks was measuring 41 weeks. My waters broke and after 3 days in the hospital we decided to bring on the labour so we could meet our little baby. We were told that there would pysically be nothing they could do for our boy because the left side of his heart had already started to have calsification and because of how sick he was from other complications so we decided to let our beautiful boy Jax pass peacefully in our arms.
Seeing your son’s story and how far he came made me hoenstly for the first time in 6 months picture my son grown up and running around with us. It has been an emotional roller coaster and a journey that I never thought I would go through.
I am touched and so saddend by the beautiful story you have published on here. Thank you for making such a rare heart condition aware. I am so sorry for the loss of your beautiful boy, I’m sure he will always be looking at you guys with a big smile on his face xxx
I used to be Brian Carroll’s assistant and that is how I learned of Ari and you both. I caught the story on ESPN this past Sunday and I just want to say how amazing Ari was and how strong you both are. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Hi Mike,
My family and I attended the August 27th game at Fenway Park and for the first time learned of your story. As the sister of a brother who passed away from a congenital heart defect at Boston a Children’s Hospital and the mother of a daughter who has had two open heart surgeries your story touched our families hearts in a very personal way. My 12 year old son turned to me after we watched the ceremonies and simply said “wow he was awesome wasn’t he mom.” I know there are no words I can say to ease your loss but I wanted you to know your son’s smile and passion will be engrained in my mind. His short life has impacted my family in a positive way. I can only begin to imagine the big waves that are still to come from what was a life cut much too short. Much love, thoughts, and prayers coming to you and your family from Maine!
I am so so so sorry…he will be surely missed.
i am praying for this little guy who has sooo much nore spirit than anyone I know please keep fighting
Hi Mike & Erica,
I saw Ari in the hospital bed and talked to my daughters and we decided we wanted to donate our time and products.
I heard you had mold in your old house. That may be true or not, but I have allot of knowledge of how to prevent mold and also about “Dirty Electricity” .
Both of those will hinder Ari’s recovery.
We are in the position to help so will you reach out to us and lets talk.
I imagine your super busy so here is my cell phone. If you call and I don’t answer whether I am asleep or not , leave me a message and I will return your call when you tell me its best time to call back.

I am praying with all I have that God grants Ari a miracle. And allows him to accept his new heart. I just saw the update and my heart breaks for the whole family. I’m sorry I could not donate more than $20, but I know every little bit helps. Prayers for all of you during this difficult time.
Cutest little rascal, I’ve ever seen. Wishing him all the best!

Although I do not know you or your family personally, I feel that I do. I do through the eye of Erica’s parents. Their eyes are filled with a love that is unmatched. Their admiration is unrelenting, and their strength beyond ones belief. Their pride reaches the peaks of Mt. Everest. I look into their watering eyes and find a strong faith in the end story. Their love for you Mike, Erica, Ari, Lexi and Eli will forever live in your soles.
